NCDOT to close NC 12 for overhead sign removal

RODANTHE, N.C. (WAVY) — The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will close a section of N.C. 12 early Tuesday morning to remove an overhead sign.

Crews will begin removing the sign at the intersection of N.C. 12 and Trade Winds Drive around 5:30 a.m. weather permitting.

Traffic will be stopped in both directions while work is underway, and no detour will be in place for this closure.

NCDOT expects the closure to last about 20 minutes and advises motorists who will be traveling along this route to plan accordingly.
