Online vehicle auction to take place in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The City of Norfolk is gearing up for the September 2024 Towing & Recovery online vehicle auction.

The online auction will run through Thursday, Sept. 19 at 10:30 a.m. All vehicles available are located at the City of Norfolk Towing and Recovery.

Following the auction, individuals will be able to pick-up their vehicles by appointment only on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Winning bidders will be notified via email and will be called by Norfolk Towing Operations staff in order to schedule an appointment.

Payment will be required for all winning buyers with no refunds, regardless if the bidder picks up the vehicle or not. All bidders will have $100 temporarily charged to the card on file.

All vehicles available through the auction will include the necessary paperwork in order to obtain a title from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Winning bidders are encouraged apply for the title as soon as possible, as certain errors can only be corrected within a few days of the purchase date.
