    Liberty-Appalachian State football game canceled

    LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Liberty and Appalachian State announced their football game on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. from Boone, N.C. has been canceled. The school officials say the reason for the cancelation is due to the effects of Hurricane Helene along the East Coast. A Liberty Flames athletic spokesperson tells WFXR Sports there are no plans at this moment to reschedule the matchup.

    Liberty’s next game is set for Tuesday, October 8 at 7 p.m. as they will host Conference USA rival FIU at Williams Stadium. midweek schedule during the month of October.
