    Helene moves around high school football games across 757

    PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – High School Football has been impacted across the Hampton Roads region, due to the rain/overall weather of Hurricane Helene. Norfolk Public Schools cancelled all after-school activities on Friday September 27, while other schools around Hampton Roads are proceeding with their games.

    Local events and activities canceled due to Helene

    Here’s a slate of the games scheduled for Friday that will be moved to later in the week:

    • Woodside vs Heritage (11 a.m. on Saturday 9/28 at Todd Stadium)
    • Granby @ Booker T. Washington (Saturday 9/28 at noon)
    • Hampton vs Denbigh (4 p.m. on Saturday 9/28 at Todd Stadium)
    • Bethel vs Phoebus (Noon on Saturday 9/28 at Darling Stadium)
    • Warhill @ New Kent (Noon on Saturday 9/28)
    • Lake Taylor vs Maury (2 p.m. on Saturday 9/28 at Powhatan Field)

    That being said, there’s still a slate of games happening around the 757 on Friday. The WAVY Sportswrap team will grab highlights for Friday Night Flights from the following:

    • Manor @ Norcom (7 p.m.)
    • Kempsville @ Green Run (6 p.m.)
    • Salem @ First Colonial (7 p.m.)
    • Bayside @ Landstown (7 p.m.)

    • Grafton @ Bruton (7 p.m.)
    • Tabb vs Poquoson (8 p.m. at Poquoson Middle School)
    • Cox @ Kellam (7 p.m.)
