VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Roll out the red carpet for Princess Anne High School’s Fabolous Marching Cavaliers.

The band is set to attend the film premiere of Pharrell Williams’ animated biopic, “Piece by Piece” and perform on the TODAY Show Oct. 9.

The Fabolous Marching Cavaliers contributed on the eponymous theme song of Williams’ new movie.

John Boyd, director of the Fabolous Marching Cavaliers, shared that the collaboration has been in development since March of last year.

Following a recording session, Williams’ recording engineer, Mike Larson followed up by requesting the names of the student musicians that participated.

The single, “Piece by Piece,” was released Sept. 6 and credited the musicians.

The band will debut the song in a televised performance for the first time during their appearance on the TODAY Show.

Williams’ LEGO biopic is based around the famed producer growing up with unique ideas and aspirations. It is set to be released Friday, Oct. 11.
