Boo Buckets are back!

It’s officially October, which means that Halloween is right around the corner. And you know what Halloween means. Yes, spooky decor and trick-or-treating. But also, the return of Boo Buckets at McDonald’s! Ever since the Golden Arches brought back its nostalgic pails (which are perfect for collecting candy during trick-or-treating outings, by the way), kids and collectors alike have hustled to get their hands on Happy Meals each year so they can collect the new versions.

McDonald’s shared this year’s Boo Buckets on Instagram . Unfortunately, some fans aren’t thrilled with the updated design — half the fun of Boo Buckets is the nostalgia, after all, so some people long for the old designs they remember from the past.

“Don’t like these designs, you should’ve stuck with the old ones,” one person wrote.

Another added, “These are pitiful compared to previous years’ versions. Cutting corners again, are we?”

But if you do love the new Boo Buckets, you can get one at your local McDonald’s while supplies last — along with themed stickers to customize it.
