Man seriously hurt after shooting in Hampton; suspect unidentified

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — After a man was seriously hurt from a gunshot wound inside his residence on Tuesday, Hampton police said they are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Cunningham Drive just before 11 p.m. Officers arrived to find a man inside his residence suffering life-threatening injuries from a bullet wound. He was transported to a local hospital.

The preliminary investigation is ongoing and members of the Hampton Police Division Major Crimes Unit are investigating the circumstances of this incident.
