Road closures on 18th Street expected in VB

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Starting on Oct. 14, 18th Street from Baltic Avenue to Arctic Avenue is scheduled to close in Virginia Beach.

The closure is required to safely facilitate street infrastructure improvements.

Detours will be set to reroute traffic to adjacent streets until work is complete and will reopen immediately upon completion.

Advanced warning signs will be posted advising motorists of the detours and closures. Access to homes and businesses located on the closed section of this street will be maintained. Weather permitting, this block is scheduled to reopen Dec. 20.
