Downtown Suffolk to host ‘spooktacular’ Fall Festival

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Downtown Suffolk is getting ready to host a fall festival of frightening proportions!

The festival is scheduled to take place on Oct. 27 from 3-6 p.m. near the former Sun Trust Bank building on 123 North Main Street and will be free and open to the public. A variety of attractions will be available at this year’s event, all of which can be found below:

• Trick or Treating with local businesses : Local businesses along the 100 block of Main Street and Washington Street will welcome families with candy and special treats
• Trunk or Treat : Various city vehicles and departments will showcase their unique rides while handing out candy
• Petting Zoo
• Haunted Houses : The spooktacular experience will be set up in the former Sun Trust Bank building. A second one will be set up inside Party Time Entertainment on Washington Street — Haunted houses will stay open until 7 p.m.
• Festival Food and Carnival Games : Various local food vendors and carnival games will be available in the parking lot adjacent to the former Sun Trust Bank building
