    Fire in Pasquotank County turns fatal

    PASQUOTANK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A man has died after a fire in Pasquotank County on Tuesday night, officials said.

    Around 10 p.m., first responders dispatched to Okisko Road in Elizabeth City for a fire.

    The residence was occupied by one family that consisted of a father and an adult son.

    The 27-year-old was found inside of the residence and removed. However, the son passed at the scene.

    Investigation into the fire revealed that the fire started on the second story of the residence and was determined to be an accidental/unintentional fire.
