NPD: 1 woman hurt after shooting on Strand Street

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A woman is injured after a shooting Saturday afternoon on Strand Street, police said.

According to officials, just before 3:50 p.m., Norfolk Police were flagged down in the 3300 block of North Military Highway for the report of a gunshot victim.

Officers arrived to the scene and found a woman suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound. She was then transferred to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.

An investigation revealed the shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Strand Street.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released.
