WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — A local photographer created a unique opportunity to give back to a local charity whose founder recently passed away from cancer.

Allison Wisniewski, of Allison Nicole Creatives , is holding special painting mini-sessions this weekend at Williamsburg Winery.

Proceeds from the shoots will go to Paint Pink, Inc. to help those fighting cancer pay for expenses not covered by insurance. Paint Pink’s founder, Kim Keene, passed away in September .

Keene had fought breast cancer, and went into remission until the cancer came back in her lungs two years ago.

The first people featured in Wisniewski’s painting mini-sessions are Keene’s sister and niece. Wisniewski and Keene were friends. She plans to give 10% of all funds raised to Paint Pink, Inc.
