Polk County crash kills mother, injures 2 kids with driver suspected to be under the influence
DAVENPORT, Fla. — A single-vehicle crash killed a Jacksonville mother and injured her two children near Davenport on Friday night. A 2024 Nissan sedan veered off the North Ridge Trail just before 8 p.m. while speeding and went over a guardrail, through a fence and hit a tree, Polk County Sheriff's deputies said.
Vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Rincon leaves one person seriously injured
RINCON, Ga. (WSAV) – The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash happened on S. Columbia Ave. near Babcock Furniture in Rincon around 11 a.m. on Saturday. Officials say the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Both lanes of Highway 21 were closed for investigation. It has since re-opened.
