Officials: Georgia family of 5 killed in plane crash; investigation underway
Five members of a Georgia family died in a plane crash in upstate New York, state police said in a news release Monday. Roger Beggs, 76; Laura Van Epps, 43; Ryan Van Epps, 42; James R. Van Epps, 12; and Harrison Van Epps, 10, were all returning to Georgia from Cooperstown, New York, where the family had been for a baseball tournament, the release said.
