MAN JAILED AFTER MODIFIED HANDGUN FOUND WITHIN REACH OF INFANT
(Wayne County, IN)--More information was released later Monday about an arrest Kicks 96 and 101.7 The Point News reported Monday morning. Two people were stopped over the weekend on eastbound 70 between Richmond and Centerville. According to Wayne County Sheriff Randy Retter, 1.7 pounds of marijuana was inside. But, Retter said that what was more disturbing was that there was a modified Glock handgun that was within arm’s reach of an infant. The male suspect went to the Wayne County Jail.

SCOOTER RIDER INJURED IN CRASH
(Wayne County, IN)--A scooter rider was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton Wednesday following a Wayne County accident. At just before noon, first responders were sent to the intersection of Arba Pike and Inke Road between Richmond and Fountain City. There’s no word yet on the identity or condition of the rider this morning or other factors that led to the crash.

RICHMOND MAN ACCUSED OF TAKING UP RESIDENCY IN SOMEONE ELSE'S HOME
(Richmond, IN)--A homeowner on U.S. 27 in Wayne County allegedly walked into his home to find two strangers had moved in, and now one of those two is facing numerous charges. According to court documents, Robert Bragg told police he was renting the home after it was advertised on Craigslist. But the owner said he not only never offered it for rent, but that numerous items were missing. In a different case last fall, another homeowner on Porterfield Road walked in and allegedly found Bragg inside. That resulted in a shots fired incident. Bragg is also now charged with being a habitual offender.
MOTION MADE TO DISMISS LEE HEARING; AUTOPSY RESULTS STILL PENDING
(Richmond, IN)--Steps were taken Monday to remove Phillip Lee’s murder trial from the Wayne County court system. Lee shot and killed RPD Officer Seara Burton nearly two years ago. He was found dead in his prison cell last week. Monday, a motion was filed in Wayne Circuit Court to vacate a hearing in the case. Lee’s trial had been expected to take ten weeks in February of next year. Meanwhile, there has been no additional information from investigators on Lee’s death. A prison source told our news partners at WXIN that it was a suicide. The autopsy is now complete, but toxicology results will likely take several weeks to be complete.
