The President and Board of Park Commissioners of the West Chicago Park District, Illinois will hold a public hearing on August 13, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. The hearing will be held at the ARC Center, 201 W. National Street, in West Chicago, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposal to sell general obligation limited tax park bonds in an amount not to exceed $750,000 for the purpose of (I) paying debt service on the District’s outstanding: (A) Series 2015A Bonds that were used to (i) advance refund a portion of the District’s outstanding 2009 Bonds, (ii) current refund the District’s outstanding 2014 Debt Certificates, and (iii) finance certain capital projects within the District, (B) Series 2015B Bonds that were used to advance refund a portion of the District’s outstanding 2009 Bonds, (C) Series 2017 that were issued to finance certain capital projects in the District, including the construction of a sports performance facility and improvements to the District’s Turtle Splash Park, and (D) Series 2023 that were issued to finance the payment of land condemned or purchased for parks, for the building, maintaining, improving and protecting of the same and the existing land and facilities of the District, and (II) paying costs of issuance of said limited tax park bonds.
