ANN ARBOR – Early in the second quarter against Minnesota, Michigan quarterback Alex Orji rolled to his right and had an open receiver about 13 yards down field. His pass wasn’t a perfect spiral in wet, rainy conditions at Michigan Stadium and was thrown slightly behind receiver Kendrick Bell, but it was still in his catch radius. Bell was credited with a drop after failing to haul it in, and instead of a reception moving the chains, the 10th-ranked Wolverines (4-1, 2-0 Big Ten) faced a third-and-10 and punted two players later.
