Cleveland County deputies arrest two after chase at marijuana grow operation
CLEVELAND COUNTY, OKLA (KOKH) — On July 11, Cleveland County Sheriff deputies arrested two individuals who were caught fleeing a marijuana grow operation outside Noble. Around 3 a.m., the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) received a call from an alarm company that reported footage of two male suspects attempting to break into the grow operation.

NORMAN — Six Oklahoma baseball players were taken on the second day of the 2024 MLB Draft on Monday. Junior outfielder John Spikerman was the first Oklahoma player off the board, going in the third round with the 100th overall pick to the Philadelphia Phillies. Junior left-handed pitcher Braden Davis was selected in the fifth round with the 142nd pick to the St. Louis Cardinals and junior right-handed pitcher Ryan Lambert was drafted in the eighth round (233rd overall) to the New York Mets. Three Sooners went in the 10th round with senior outfielder Bryce Madron going 291st overall (St. Louis Cardinals), junior RHP Brendan Girton being selected 293rd (New York Mets) and senior infielder Michael Snyder chosen 304th (Miami Marlins).

The TSET Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences has announced the awardees of the FY25 seed grant program. Each grantee will receive up to $100,000 to conduct an innovative research project over 2 years.
