    Have some fun and support a good cause with fundraisers for local nonprofits:

    17th Annual Salamander Scramble 5K

    Thursday, July 4 - kids' fun run starts 7:15 a.m., Salamander Scramble/Firecracker 5K starts 7:30 a.m.

    Waynesboro Area Senior High School parking lot

    550 E. Second St.

    Waynesboro, Pa.

    For runners or walkers of any level. One Mile Fun Run for ages 6 to 12. Held in conjunction with Waynesboro’s Firecracker 5K. $100 single adult, $50 single child, $200 family with children. Fee includes team jersey, Firecracker 5K entry, drawings for prizes, finish-line towel, food and beverages and a one-year membership to Buttonwood Nature Center/The Institute.
