MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis men's basketball head coach Penny Hardaway and his staff officially announced the addition of sharpshooter PJ Carter to the squad for 2024-25. A 3-point threat with size, Carter transfers within the American Athletic Conference to Memphis after spending last season at UTSA. Prior to that, Carter was an all-conference performer at Georgia Highlands College in 2021-22 after playing his first two collegiate seasons at Campbell University (2019-21).

Town Creek man killed at Decatur GE Appliances plant
DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - An official at GE Appliances has confirmed an employee was killed after an incident at the plant in Decatur. “The GE Appliances team is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our employees this morning at our Decatur refrigeration plant,” spokeswoman Julie Wood said. “We are working with local law enforcement to understand the cause of this tragic accident and contacting the family of the employee to offer our assistance.”
