2 employees among 3 shot at SW Side Gas station: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Three people were shot Tuesday night in the Brighton Park neighborhood. Two were bystanders.

It happened at the Thorntons gas station on California Avenue, just off the Stevenson Expressway. It was a little after 10 p.m.

According to police, a 25-year-old man was being chased by four others. Two of them were armed with handguns and fired shots. The man being pursued ran inside.  One of the men followed, still shooting.

The 25-year-old was hit multiple times. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Two employees were also wounded.

A 26-year-old man was hit in the mouth. He was also in critical condition.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the back. He was in good condition.

Nobody in custody.
