CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The Little Village community is now offering up a reward for information about a woman who was shot and killed last month.

Community members have teamed up to offer a $5,000 reward in connection with the fatal shooting of Ondrea Monique King.

The 58-year-old was sitting in a car near Ogden and Springfield on Aug. 31, just after midnight, when she was struck in the neck.

She died at a nearby hospital a short time later.

Chicago Police have yet to make any arrests, and Harmony Community Church Pastor James Brooks says it’s up to King’s community to help.

“We can’t just depend on our police. It’s going to take all of us. If you saw something, if you hear anything,we all have a responsibility to say something,” Brooks said.

King was a well-known mother, sister, and grandmother.

Her funeral is planned for this Friday.

Typical, no one wants to say anything, but then they have plenty of words when they bash the police! Come on people, stand up for yourselves! Take back your streets! Work together
