A would-be car thief found himself in a bit of a pickle, after he became locked inside of a luxury sports car in a Miami Beach parking garage and pleaded with the owner to let him out.

The incident unfolded Monday afternoon when Julio Solano was returning to his Chevrolet Corvette, parked in a garage on Washington Avenue and 16th Street, after having breakfast.

"The garage manager was just staring at me. He was like 'Hey, dude someone's in your car," Solano told WSVN . "I thought it was all a joke."

But it was very real. As he walked up to his car, Solano could see someone -- later identified as 33-year-old Ravesh Rabindranauth -- sitting in his front seat. That's when took his phone out and started recording.

"My brother, this is not your car, this is my car," Solano said on video that was shared by WPLG .

"Can I get out?" Rabindranauth asked.

"No, you can’t get out. We're calling the cops," Solano replied.

Rabindranauth was apparently unable to start the vehicle or escape due to the car's security system.

"The car's electrical components don't function without the keys, and fortunately, he didn't know about the manual door release under the seat," Solano told WPLG.

Miami Beach Police quickly responded to the scene and arrested Rabindranauth for burglary to an unoccupied conveyance. He's being held in custody on a $2,500 bond.
