(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Former WBBM Broadcast Managing Editor, former Suburban Bureau Chief Julie Mann reflects on her time with WBBM Newsradio including covering key moments in Chicago sports history.

“Breathtaking, terrifying, exhilarating – all at the same time,” Mann said, describing her first time walking into the newsroom.

Throughout her time at the station, Mann helped cover many championships for Chicago sports teams, including the Bulls, Blackhawks and Cubs.

“I think when the sports teams won and we were a part of those opportunities, that's when the city came together and it was a happy story.

“We cover so many sad and tragic things that when we get a chance to really cheer on with the rest of the people that love the same thing that we do, that really sticks in your memory as a good memory.”
