CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are asking for the public's help to identify two burglars who authorities believe are behind at least four crimes on the North Side.

The criminal duo hit at least four businesses in the Portage Park, Norwood Park, Edison Park and Union Park neighborhoods between August 29 and September 9, police said.

Chicago police said the suspects used a pry bar to force open the back doors of the businesses. Once inside, they used a portable electric saw to cut through safes and ATMs. They also stole from cash registers.

In at least one burglary, though, both suspects were caught on camera and seen getting away in a dark four-door sedan.

Anyone with information was encouraged to contact the Area Five detectives at 312-746-7394.
