CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police are investigating the kidnapping and robbery of a couple in Little Village overnight.

Police said a crew of armed robbers held up a man and woman about to enter a restaurant on 26th Street near Homan. This was shortly before 3 a.m.

Police said the five men or young men stole items from the restaurant before forcing the couple into the robbers’ dark SUV.

Then, the suspects allegedly drove to several ATMs and coerced the 48-year-old man and 39-year-old woman to withdraw cash before eventually releasing them.

    The couple refused medical treatment.

    No one is in custody.
