    Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will open a new plant and art exhibit on Friday, September 13th called "Mutant Invasion: Flesh-eating Flora," featuring carnivorous plants like Venus flytraps, sundews, pitcher plants and more. The exhibit will follow a theme similar to a 1950s comic book. The Botanical Gardens will host the exhibit through Halloween.

    Empower Federal Credit Union will be the presenting sponsor of this year's National Buffalo Wing Fest, which takes place this Saturday and Sunday at Highmark Stadium. Employees from Empower will also be in attendance during the festival.

    SUNY Fredonia is bringing in its largest number of new students in three years this fall semester. 1,034 freshmen, transfers and grad students are coming in. The amount of incoming freshmen grew by 10% compared to last year, while graduate student numbers grew 34% year-over-year.
