    Buffalo, N.Y (WBEN) - Catholic Charities is accepting applications to its C-Tech, Introduction to Telecommunications class, which offers nationally recognized certifications in telecommunications, 5G systems and more. The program lasts 12 weeks and runs Mondays through Thursday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. beginning September 23rd. Classes are held at the New Hope Education Center at Harvest House on Jefferson Avenue.

    Six Flags Darien Lake is hiring for the fall. Positions include greeters, technicians, ride operators, admissions and more. 400 people are needed. Open interviews are being held every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon through September 19th from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Six Flags Darien Lake Human Resources building.

    Canisius University raised $8.4 million during the 2023-24 school year, its biggest fundraising haul since 2019. $500,000 was raised for the school's athletic programs. $715,000 will also be used for campus initiatives. The money is donated by alumni, parents, faculty and staff.
