Western Regional OTB holds special Board of Directors meeting to further discuss leadership changes

Batavia, N.Y. (WBEN) - Western Regional Off-Track Betting (OTB) is holding a special Board of Directors meeting on Thursday with its members to further discuss the future president and CEO of the organization.

Members met at the board room at Batavia Downs Gaming for a few minutes before heading into executive session. It is unclear, at this time, how long board members will be in executive session to further discuss the new leadership at Western Regional OTB.

The new president and CEO will be voted in by the Board of Directors to replace Henry Wojtaszek, who is set to leave OTB at the end of the year after 15 years with the corporation.

Perhaps the lead candidate for the new president and CEO of Western Regional OTB is Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown. It is unclear whether or not this meeting on Thursday is slated to be a further discussion of candidates, or any sort of formal announcement to name the new head of the organization.
