    Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Robots are coming to your local Tops store. Parent company Northeast Grocery is launching a pilot program this month that will have a machine named Tally keeping track of inventory and checking prices. Tops locations in Depew, Hamburg, Orchard Park and two in Amherst will participate in the program. The program begins this month and runs through January.

    Theatre season in Western New York opens tonight with the annual Curtain Up! celebration in the Theatre District. It all starts with a cocktail party in Shea's Grand Lobby, followed by performances across 11 different theatres starting at 7:30. The night ends with a free street party on Main between Tupper and Chippewa.

    The Martin Group hosted a summit for healthcare and tech professionals in Buffalo Thursday, focusing on the growing impact of AI in healthcare. Dr. Venu Govindaraju, a SUNY Distinguished professor at UB, served as the keynote speaker at the event. There was also a panel discussion with several local executives from the healthcare industry.
