Tonawanda, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo man wanted for a shooting in the Town of Tonawanda last week has turned himself into police.

42-year-old Joel Brown faces an attempted murder charge after he was arraigned in Town of Tonawanda Court. He also faces charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the shooting of another man last Tuesday on Kenmore Avenue.

The victim was wounded in the hand and leg as a result of the shooting. The injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening. Police say Brown and the victim knew each other.

Brown was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center without bail.
