Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - John Percy, President & CEO of Destination Niagara USA, has been awarded the 2024 New York State Tourism Excellence Award for Excellence in Leadership: Career/Lifetime Achievement. Niagara County made over $1 billion from tourism in 2023. Percy has been the top executive at Destination Niagara USA since 2006.

Honey Kenmore, the cannabis dispensary owned by former Erie County Executive Joel Giambra, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a drive-thru service, the first of its kind in Western New York Friday morning. Honey Kenmore says the drive-thru caters to people with limited mobility and those who prefer a discreet purchase. Honey Kenmore is located at 2981 Delaware Avenue.

Fantastic Friends of WNY will hold its 6th annual "Fantastic Friends Rock the Runway" fashion show, featuring individuals with special needs as models. The event starts Saturday afternoon at 5 in the Golden Ballroom at The Statler. The Fashion Show starts around 7.
