Two Niagara County women charged in Jan. 6 riot

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Two women from Niagara County have been charged with illegally being in the Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot. They each face four federal charges.

Federal prosecutors and law enforcement say Wendy Dominski and Traci Quimby entered the Capitol Building through the Senate Wing doors, walking into the Capitol Crypt, remaining there for approximately five minutes, then exiting the Capitol Building through a broken window located next to the Senate Wing doors.

After the two attended Donald Trump's Stop the Steal Rally, they marched toward the Capitol, entered the Capitol Building through the Senate Wing doors, which had earlier been kicked open by rioters. Quimby told a journalist in a video, "We pushed through because we told our grandchildren we’re not letting this happen."

Dominski and Quimby are charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in the Capitol grounds or buildings, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.

The next court appearances for the two will be on Oct. 8 in U.S. District Court in Washington, although the two women will be allowed to participate remotely through video if they choose.

A third woman, from Buffalo, has also been arrested. 32-year-old Adrienna DiCioccio is accused of joining rioters and breaking through a police line to go further into the Capitol building.

"The rioters chanted, 'our house,' " according to the criminal complaint against her.

"DiCioccio chanted 'our house' along with the crowd. Eventually, the rioters, including DiCioccio, overtook the police line and went further in the building," the complaint stated.
