Gilmer County Superintendent Tony Minney spoke with 12 News about some of the specific renovations the school intends to use the money for.

“It’ll be for a remodel for a walk-in freezer that will house our frozen goods and also a cooler, and hopefully house our meat from our animal processing classroom where we do a farm-to-table initiative,” said Minney.

12 News also had the opportunity to speak with Gov. Justice on the importance of distributing SBA funding throughout the state.

“Our foundation first and foremost has always got to be our kids. It’s got to be our schools and upgrading our schools and making them better only makes us better. That’s all there is to it,” said Gov. Justice.
