JANE LEW, W.Va. (WBOY) — Two people have been charged after deputies found drugs while responding to a residence for a call about a woman allegedly pepper spraying a man for calling her a ‘whore’ in Lewis County.

On July 30, deputies with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call for an active domestic on Hacker’s Creek Road in Jane Lew, according to a criminal complaint.

When deputies arrived, they “observed a pink in color cup laying on the balcony along with what appeared to be pepper spray,” on the walls outside of the entrance of a room, deputies said.

At that point, deputies made contact with Natasha Kiani-Anaraki, 35, of Clarksburg, who stated that she and James “Jim Jim” Washington “had been in an argument” over the “contents” Kiani-Anaraki found in his phone, according to a complaint and press release from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

During that argument, Kiani-Anaraki stated that the male “had called her a ‘whore,’ to which she responded by pepper spraying” him, deputies said.

While at the residence, deputies “observed a significant amount of drug paraphernalia,” and were able to obtain a search warrant, which resulted in deputies locating “multiple” weight measuring devices, a “significant” amount of aluminum foil, packaging materials, a “large amount” of fentanyl cutting agents, a “large amount” of U.S. currency and a “white powder-like substance that field-tested positive for fentanyl,” according to the complaint.

Additionally, deputies learned that Washington was wanted for drug-related offenses in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Kiani-Anaraki and Washington have both been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, drug conspiracy and domestic-related charges. Kiani-Anaraki is being held in Central Regional Jail on $75,000 bond.

More fentanyl was found in a “body cavity” of Kiani-Anaraki’s at the Central Regional Jail, according to the press release, so additional charges out of Braxton County are pending.

Washington is being held in the Central Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
