    2 charged after officers find meth while executing search at Mannington residence

    MANNINGTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Two men have been charged after officers found them with methamphetamine while executing a search warrant at a Mannington residence.

    On Aug. 8, officers with the Mannington Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Cemetery Street, according to a criminal complaint.

    While at the residence, officers located Jeremy Smith, 53, of Mannington, who was inside a garage “under the residence” with 3.17 grams of methamphetamine, a set of electronic scales and packaging materials, officers said.

    Also, while at the residence, officers located Dellis Sickles, 51, of Mannington, in an outbuilding with a black letter bag—which Sickles claimed ownership of—containing 10.51 grams of methamphetamine and a set of electronic scales, according to the complaint.

    West Virginia corrections officers plead guilty to not intervening as colleagues fatally beat inmate

    Smith and Sickles have been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. They are being held in North Central Regional Jail.
