    Driver injured in concrete truck rollover under I-79 overpass

    PLEASANT VALLEY, W.Va. (WBOY) — A concrete truck driver who was working underneath an Interstate 79 bridge in Marion County was injured Thursday when the truck rolled over.

    According to a social media post by the Valley Volunteer Fire Department, firefighters were first called to the rollover accident in the Benton’s Ferry area of Pleasant Valley at 5:45 a.m. on Aug. 8.

    The driver, who was unresponsive and still inside the truck when first responders were alerted, was being removed from the vehicle by fellow construction workers when Valley firefighters arrived just minutes later.

    The driver was injured but was alert when he was transported by the Marion County Rescue Squad, the post said.

    Volunteer firefighter with the Valley Volunteer Fire Department were at the scene for four hours, cleaning up fluids that had leaked from the truck.
