MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Former West Virginia University basketball player Gabe Osabuohien is once again making the rounds across the state to help make sure kids are ready to go back to school.

Osabuohien has spent the past few days traveling to different cities in West Virginia to give away backpacks full of school supplies for kids in need. This is the second time that the former fan-favorite has hosted the statewide tour, which has included appearances at Kegler’s in Morgantown and at Fast Signs in White Hall on Tuesday.

“Just the love I enjoy from the state. I had a real rough car accident last summer and the state really helped me and wrapped around that time so, I mean this state forever has a piece of my heart, and I’m just trying to give back and impact the state as much as I can outside of basketball,” Osabuohien said.

Two more locations were added to Osabuohien’s tour this year and the final stop is set for Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Toothman Ford in Grafton. If you’d like to donate or sponsor the giveaway, you can email Osabuohienslittlestars@gmail.com or call 412-612-6800.
