CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Looking for the most beautiful, photo-worthy views? According to a recent survey, you can find two of the best in West Virginia.

Photobook company Mixbook surveyed 3,000 Americans to find the 100 most picturesque spots in the U.S. Based on those survey results, the Seneca Rocks Overlook in Pendleton County is the most breathtaking view in West Virginia.

Ranking at 31st nationally, the Seneca Rocks Overlook has unobstructed views of some of the highest mountains in West Virginia. For the most colorful view, visit during late September to early October when the fall foliage is expected to be at its peak . The overlook is a less than 2-mile hike from the parking area at the bottom of the mountain (about 3.6 miles total), and the trail is wide and extremely well maintained.

And the view from the bottom of the mountain isn’t too bad either.

The second-best view in West Virginia, according to the survey, is the New River Gorge Bridge in the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve. The survey did not specify if the best view is of the bridge or from the bridge, but both are pretty fantastic.

One of the best views of the bridge is from the New River Gorge Bridge Scenic Overlook at the Canyon Rim Visitor Center.

Pedestrians are not allowed to walk across the New River Gorge Bridge, except on Bridge Day , an annual festival when the bridge is closed to its usual vehicle traffic and a limited number of adventure seekers get to BASE jump off of it.

The most beautiful views in America, according to the survey, are 1. Denali from Wonder Lake, Alaska, 2. Na Pali Coast from Kalalau Lookout, Hawaii, 3. Mendenhall Glacier from Nugget Falls Trail, Alaska, 4. Big Sky from Lone Mountain Summit, Montana, and 5. Lake Tahoe from Sand Harbor, Nevada.
