On Aug. 15, troopers with the Marion County detachment of the West Virginia State Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Hawthorne Street in Fairmont, according to a criminal complaint. Jessica Eagle, 34, and Damion McGinley, 49, both of Fairmont, were at the residence, the complaint said.

A cellphone seized during the search showed Eagle had contacted McGinley “and ordered a ‘ball’ of fentanyl,” troopers said, which troopers found in Eagle’s possession.

Also in the search, troopers located “a loaded .380 caliber pistol,” as well as methamphetamine on McGinley’s person, and “packages of fentanyl and meth were recovered” from both suspects, according to the complaint.

Troopers said that evidence from the scene showed that Eagle did “intend to deliver the fentanyl/meth with her friends/associates.”

Eagle was previously been charged in 2022 when deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office found meth and other paraphernalia in a vehicle. This week, she was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.

McGinley was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. They are both being held in North Central Regional Jail.
