MORGANTOWN W.Va. (WBOY) — The Morgantown Art Association hosted a workshop on Friday which was taught by National Watercolor Society member and esteemed painter JJ Jiang.

In his 11 years as an artist, Jiang has traveled across the world to paint and teach watercolor painting. His work has been featured on the cover of the Art of Watercolor Magazine, and his studio is based in North Carolina where he also teaches workshops.

Jiang said that he thinks people should focus on “the joy of creating artwork” when learning how to paint and that he hopes his students use the process of making art to enrich their lives. “I think that’s actually our number one. Of course, if we keep painting, we might become very good painters with a lot of practice,” he added.
