MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA for Kids , held its “Community Goose Chase” fundraiser on Saturday, where attendees spread out over the Morgantown area solving clues to hunt for city landmarks.

The scavenger hunt began at 10:30 a.m. in Granville Park where attendees were given a packet of 30 clues that led them to different locations, including The WOW! Factory, Woodburn Hall, the WVU Football stadium and many more.

CASA for Kids uses events like this one throughout the year to fund its mission of advocating for abused, neglected, or exploited children who are navigating foster care or the West Virginia court system.

Brandi Wolfe, a CASA board member at the event, said it was a good way to call attention to businesses that have supported the organization over the years while involving the community at the same time.

“I think [people will enjoy] just getting to be with their friends and family members and doing something kind of out of the ordinary and visiting the different places, and maybe some places they’ve never been in Morgantown, but we do have some iconic stops that everyone should know,” Wolfe said.

CASA’s next big fundraiser will be its gala on March 22, 2025. You can find more information about that event here .
