    ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ coming to Morgantown: How to watch

    MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Former Mountaineer Pat McAfee will be bringing his sports commentary show back to his alma mater ahead of West Virginia University’s football home opener against Penn State this weekend.

    WVU said in a release that fans can attend The Pat McAfee Show’s broadcast from Morgantown in person. The filming will take place at the green space outside the Life Sciences Building on WVU’s Downtown Campus from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30. Fans who want to attend in person will be allowed to enter the area starting at 9 a.m. on Friday.

    WVU classes are in session on Friday, so parking is limited, according to the release. Attendees can use the following parking areas:

    Downtown area short-term lots:

    • ST-2, Mountainlair Garage Upper Level
    • ST-5, Sunnyside
    • ST-10, Falling Run
    • Hourly Morgantown Parking Authority street and surface lots

    Evansdale area of campus short-term lots:

    • ST-1, Art Museum (near PRT Engineering Station)
    • ST-4, Student Rec Center (near PRT Engineering and Towers stations)
    • ST-6, Blaney House
    • ST-8, Erickson Alumni Center
    • ST-9, Evansdale Crossing (near PRT Engineering Station)

    Mountaineers everywhere are proud of Pat and his success,” said WVU Athletic Director Wren Baker. “We are truly grateful for his unbridled passion for his alma mater and his desire to bring attention to WVU, Morgantown and West Virginia.”

    Fans who can’t attend in person can also watch the show from 12-2 p.m. on ESPN2 and from 2-3 p.m. on YouTube.

    The Pat McAfee Show’s broadcast from Morgantown is the day before WVU opens its 2024 football season with the rivalry game against Penn State on Saturday, Aug. 31. Click here for more information about how to watch the game.
