CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Northern West Virginia gas prices dropped by an average of nine cents last week, according to AAA data.

The automotive group said in a press release Monday that average gas prices were at $3.25 per gallon of regular fuel.

Locally, AAA said gas prices were averaging $3.30 in Bridgeport and Clarksburg, and $3.20 in Morgantown.

Nationally, average gas prices are trending about 10 cents higher at $3.35 per gallon of regular gas, so keep that in mind if you’re planning on driving to your Labor Day destination.

Will mail be delivered on Labor Day?

AAA data shows gas prices in neighboring Pennsylvania are trending above the national average at $3.52 per gallon of regular gas, Maryland at $3.28, Ohio and Virginia at $3.22 and Kentucky at $3.07.

AAA said gasoline production increased last week while both demand and supply dropped, as well as crude oil prices.
