CORE, W.Va. (WBOY) — Monongalia County is getting a second “Almost Heaven” swing.

The Monongalia County Parks and Recreation announced Wednesday that the swing will be installed in the Dunkard Third Crossing area of Mason-Dixon Historical Park.

The 295-acre park in northern Monongalia County commemorates the Mason-Dixon Line, a National Civil Engineering Landmark, and Brown’s Hill, a National Historical Landmark, as well as their historical significance.

This will be the second Almost Heaven swing in Monongalia County— the other being at Coopers Rock State Forest —and the 30th one in West Virginia.

The swings are a project by the West Virginia Department of Tourism to guide tourists to some of the best views in West Virginia. The swings are a perfect place to take photos with West Virginia’s beautiful landscapes in the background. For a full list of swings across West Virginia, click here .
