    Missing Mon County man found safe

    MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office has updated its post saying Dunn was found safe.


    ORIGINAL:

    MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing elderly man believed to be at risk.

    The man, identified as James Dunn, suffers from dementia and was last seen leaving his Crosby Road home at around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on its official Facebook page .

    Dunn is described as 6’3″ tall weighing 169 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes.

    Dunn has previously lived in New Jersey as well as the Richmond, Virginia area, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office; it is believed he could be traveling to either area. He was driving a red Buick Enclave with a trailer attached, the sheriff’s office said.

    The sheriff’s office said it has requested a Silver Alert for Dunn through the West Virginia State Police Fairmont. Anyone who has seen Dunn is asked to contact 911 and check his welfare, the sheriff’s office said.
