Motorcyclist hospitalized after accident near WVU campus

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The driver of a motorcycle was taken to the hospital on Tuesday following a wreck near the Canady Creative Arts Center in Morgantown.

According to a release from the Morgantown Police Department, at around 1:24 p.m., emergency crews were alerted to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Monongahela Boulevard and Evansdale Drive.

When crews arrived, the found that a Suzuki motorcycle and a Honda passenger car had collided and that the driver of the motorcycle had sustained injuries that required them to be taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by Monongalia County EMS.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the accident is being investigated by the Morgantown Police Department.
