FLEMINGTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Out on Isabella Road in Flemington sits a hidden treasure that will send you back in time just by looking at it and will send your taste buds to a whole other dimension.

Brother and sister duo, Benny and Christie Davis run the show, honoring their grandmother who first inspired the store.

“Our grandmother had owned a little store out in Simpson when we were kids and that was always kind of special growing up, and so this just feels good. It almost feels as if we’re sort of continuing, although adding on a bit, to the family business, and I’m pretty sure grandma would be smiling down on us,” said Christy in an interview with 12 News.

Ole Company Store has grown most popular for its menu items, providing something special for its locals and a good bit of travelers with regulars coming back from Clarksburg, Fairmont and Arden nearly every week.

“People have to go clear to Bridgeport, Fairmont, Clarksburg, wherever to get something good to eat so I wanted to have something here, locally for people to grab and eat. Not trying to compete,” said Benny.

Although Benny is awfully humble, his food is surely a lot to brag about, serving up pizzas, paninis, hot dogs and hamburgers using all locally sourced meats, cheeses and breads—and you can really taste the difference.

“We sell a lot of our hot dogs. Now our hot dogs, they are all beef, and we have a homemade chili or sauce for them that people seem to like an awful lot. Another thing that they seem to like is our pizzas, they really enjoy our chicken bacon ranch pizza which is also one of my favorites and my daughter’s favorite,” said Christy on customer menu favorites.

As if your mouth wasn’t watering already, wait till you see what’s for dessert and the variety of shake options, because the taste is even better than it looks.
