Two Doddridge County road closures begin Monday

WEST UNION, W.Va. (WBOY) — Drivers in Doddridge County are encouraged to plan ahead beginning Monday as two roads close for work.

According to two press releases from the West Virginia Department of Transportation, County Route 55/20, Honeysuckle Road, starting at the intersection of WV 23 for just over a mile will be closed for paving and shoulder work between Sept. 9 and 18, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

County Route 64, Rush Run Road will also close starting Monday for a drainage structure repair project. The closure will start at milepost 2.55 and will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until Sept. 27. The recommended detours for this closure include:

• Doddridge County Route 19, Grove Summers Road
• WV 18, Dis Debar Road
• Gilmer County Route 4, Rush Run Road
