WEIRTON, W.Va. ( WTRF ) — A West Virginia 6th grader has been charged with Threatening a Terroristic Act after a school threat.

Steven Dragisich, Prosecuting Attorney of Hancock County, West Virginia, said the juvenile responsible for a threat to Weir Middle has been charged with a felony offense.

The 6th grader allegedly posted on SnapChat “I’m shooting up Weir Middle.”

Dragisich also said that he and other law enforcement have been notified of similar terroristic threats being made in Hancock County and those are being investigated. Drahisich said those responsible will be charged and prosecuted accordingly.

“I have zero tolerance for any individual who makes any such threats in Hancock County. The safety and security of the teachers, students, and citizens of Hancock County are of paramount importance to me. Accordingly, any individual, whether a juvenile or an adult, making any similar terroristic threats will be charged and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

    Steven Dragisich

Dragisich said he does not know, at this time, if the 6th grader will be charged as an adult.

my grandson was bullied at weir middle. He told the teachers and the principal and bc he didn't have the right last name nothing was done. He finally decided to stand up for his self and he got in trouble. If u go to weir middle and don't have the right last name or not in the the "click" nothing will be done. I don't agree right threatening to shoot up the school. Weir middle needs to change their ways quick.
